The up-building and development of the public sector and a comprehensive welfare state have been one of the most important instruments in order to achieve redistribution of wealth in Norway. However, we can still experience difficultly accessible public services, imperfect care and welfare services which do not reach everybody. It is therefore necessary to strengthen and further develop the welfare state.
